| Is it for a ute or sedan? I had the sports leather in my BA XR8 and it was awesome, much more comfortable then the normal leather as the sports leather is half leather and half velour. If you wanted to chase some seats first I'd try Fernteee gully auto salvage, they specialise in fords and always get new stock come in. 2nd that I'd try ford based forums such as fordmods, boostedfalcon, or even eBay | |

| Pretty sure those leather seat covers on ebay are poor quality and if you look around you can find a decent price of seats out of a wrecked xr! | |

| general restoration. Crack repairs, dyeing and rejuvination I can help you at Darby's we have these products called the leatherique range made by PPC. I have had very good results so far. I have just bought second hand seats and will be doing a photo display to show people the results. And for leather care for refurbished and new leather, there is The Juice Leather care which is a protector for the leather | |

| General Restoration Leatherique. Apply the Leather Rejuvinator leave for 24 hours for the prouct to soke into the pores of the leather, if need to drive the car put a garbage bag on the seat. Then use the Prestine Clean to remove all the dirt, grime that the rejuvinator has brought to the surface, repeating steps leaving the rejuvinator for a min 24 hours each time until using the cleaner to clean the surface down. Repeating steps until the Rejuvinator leaves an oily film behind, which means the leather has been brought back to its supple self, then apply a final cleaner step.
If crack filling and dyeing is required bit more complicated but still possible.
Im not sure about tears, im currently trying to find someone who fixes tears in leather, i have a small tear i want fixed if anyone knows of anywhere that does it WELL.

| for cracks what you want to do is using a product called prepping agent to scuff up the leather with a scotch brite pad. then you need to use a product called crack filler with a little bit of dye in the crack filler to help it blend into the leather, flat sand it nice and smooth, then re dye the leather i can send a sample away to get the dye colour matched if you like, because unfortuantly we dont have a tinit system for the dye's at darby's. I will def have some info on it for the cruise in august but will try and remember for the cruise this satdy | |

| does anyone know how to get indentations out of leather, I have rejuvinated the leather and even done the ironing with a wet towel to put steam and heat into the leather which removed the larger indentations but the minor ones are still there. O r does anyone know somebody who does leather rejuvination, apart rom Tim from Uti-colour as i already spoke to him and he cant really help. | |

| rumour has it that if you wet the indentations a few times and dry it with heat it can get them out, but how much truth there is to it i have no idea. this method is supposed to shrink them out, but i spose it would depend on how bad/deep they are? ive never tried it and never had leather seats myself, but the idea of drying out the leather to any extent im not so sure about either as it tends to crack. well it does on shoes anyway.
as i said, i have no idea on if would work or not. it was something i was told by an old fella some time ago but ive never tried it. i dont know if it would be worth the gamble or not with the replacement cost of the material if it doesnt.
